上海晨报周日报道，宝山区的个14个街镇（园区）、近1000个住宅小区，现已在12个街镇的752个住宅小区里安装了高清人脸识别系统，每次拍摄时，系统还会对被拍者进入小区的瞬间画面进行录像。这些照片、录像、分析结果将会在综治中心后台保留一定的时间，可供公安系统等有需要的部门调用。对此，宝山区综治办相关负责人表示，相关数据只保存在区和街镇的综治中心专网中。

The system can take close-up pictures as people enter the compound, and display their names and residential information after analysis. The data collected will be sent to a network including the public security bureau. It is expected that by July, the system will be used in all residential compounds in Baoshan district. Officials from Baoshan said the data will be safely kept in a special network and only used for official purposes.
